Once you hit the coastline in the way to your accommodation in Southern Caribbean, you will have the opportunity to enjoy and learn more about the rich flora and fauna of the Caribbean slope of Costa Rica in the only one reserve with an unique rehabilitation center for Sloths. The center take care of dozens of this animals and during the tour, you will have the opportunity to learn about their ecology, behaviour, habitat, population status and many other facts about this species.
This 2-hour tour includes seeing up close this super cute animals, the Sloth Nursery and a guided canoe ride to view tropical lowland rainforest wildlife and plants with an experienced boatman/guide. From time to time, the river’s level changes: if too low or the current too swift, we may have to cancel this segment for your well-being. This center is located in a beautiful rain forest with more than 200 acres of land, where you will enjoy beside the sloth’s, monkeys, iguanas and 255 species of colourful birds. There is no touching or holding of sloths, for their safety and yours. Tours start hourly, 8AM– 2PM, Tuesday–Sunday
