Flying into Liberia Airport (LIR) and out from SJO
This itinerary packs a lot into a 10 days-long vacation. This route takes you to the most celebrated tourist destinations in Costa Rica: splendorous Nicoya Peninsula Beaches, absorbing Manuel Antonio, and breathtaking Tortuguero Waterways. You can explore and enjoy exuberant tropical nature, indulge yourself in our warm waters, and take in some beach time too.
Day 1: Arrival in Liberia and stay overnight at El Coco, Hermosa Beach at Papagayo Golf, both offering great tourism infrastructure, and white-grey sands sit in a horseshoe-bay.
Day 2: Leisure day in one of the most stunning beach of North Pacific coast where you could catch a Catamaran to silently glide along Guanacaste Gold Coast while passing some of exotic bays, white sand beaches and tropical jungles. Stop in a tranquil bay; drop anchor and frolic in the blue Pacific. Snorkel in the bay or run down the deserted white sand beach. If you prefer the afternoon trip, the Catamaran will set sail and you will hear the waves slide along as the sunsets, illuminating the clouds left in the sky.
Day 3: Shared van from chic Papagayo Gulf Beach to isolated Santa Teresa in the Southern tip of Nicoya Peninsula. Shuttle departs once a day. A green jungle with its mischievous monkeys lines the shore, and it is an excellent place to enjoy the incredible natural surroundings in relative peace.
Day 4: Leisure day in the most isolated beaches of laid-back Nicoya Peninsula, and this stretch of beach is an excellent place to feel stress magically leave your body as you soak up the sun in Santa Teresa.
Day 5: From secluded Santa Teresa to enchanting Manuel Antonio at Central Pacific coast on shared van and boat to Los Sueños Marina across Nicoya Gulf. From there, a private driver will serve you the rest of the trip to your destination: set high above the celebrated Manuel Antonio National Park, boasting world-class views and beaches.
Day 6: Day trip in the National Park spotting plenty wildlife: monkeys, sloths, iguanas, toucans, and more; plus free beach time afterwards. Just imagine sparkling white sandy beaches, shimmering blue water and the fresh ocean breeze. Also are plenty options for adventure on the public Manuel Antonio beach.
Day 7: From Manuel Antonio to San José with an optional stop half way for an splendid walkways on suspended bridges between rainforest trees, or a smooth Aerial Tram trip among jungle canopy.
Day 8: Shared transport from San Jose to Tortuguero, also called “the Amazon of Costa Rica”, via scenic mountain range crossing and visiting a Banana Plantation on the way. Then enjoy a River Boat through gorgeous canals to reach Totuguero Village. (Optional night turtle watch from July to October).
Day 9: Jungle canals exploration early in the morning with great chances to spot caimans, tortoises, sloths, toucans, parrots, immersed in the most incredible and lush greenery. Then catch a River Boat back to banana plantations and the bus to San José.
Day 10: Depart from San José Airport.
